Summer Breakaway is our MAIN EVENT!  It is the one event that students talk about all year long.  Don’t be left out of the story.  This year we are talking CHAOS.  The services are going to be bolder, more relevant and more creative than ever before.  The band has some intense sets picked out and this year we are adding a customizable plan called PITS (Personal Interest Tracks).  You choose what YOU want to learn about.  Not to mention some other new events like the STRONG MAN COMPETITION, SAND CASTLE MANIA and STAR SEARCH!  We will wrap things up with live worship on the beach under the stars.  You will not want to miss it.  Register here before it is too late.

This year you will choose from tons of PICS (Personal Interest Courses) and PIGS (Personal Interest Games) to provide a more specific event tailored to what you want/need.  Tons of awesome worship, teaching, fun and sun and a good bit of free time to hang with your friends.

This year’s theme is CHAOS.  Why CHAOS?  Because too many of you live a life pegged in the red.  So we are going to discover how to bring peace to your hectic life.  It is poised to be a life changing experience…don’t miss it.

Day 1
145 students have a LOT of luggage. Almost 2 busses went to nothing BUT luggage.
Got a late start due to some tech difficulties.

Cal delivered a home run message on the life of Jonathan and the armor bearer.

Keeley did one of the best talks on Purity I have ever heard.
Tons of fun in the son.
I prayed that students would evoke the courage and passion of Shadrach, Meishach and Abendnego
Fear Factor was AMAZING…gets shaving their heads, eating worms and raw eggs…classic.
Day 3
Beach Olympics was a riot. Hot. Fun. Did I say Hot?
Tons more fun in the son…at this point I am burned.

Not to mention the food. Pizza, Spaghetti, cold cuts, BBQ, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Nachos, Pork Loin, BBQ chicken, breakfast corn dogs, grits and eggs, bacon, cereal, ice cream, pies, and a chocolate fondu!

All in all one of the best camps I have ever been to.

Do girls REALLY need to wear a 1 piece?

Yes, It is the policy of the retreat center Garden City Chapel.

What time are we leaving?

4:00 Monday, be here by 3:30

Do we need any money?

You don’t NEED any money, but there is a snack bar called the SEA SHACK.  They sell ice cream, drinks and stuff.

How can my parent stay in touch?

Have them check this site every day for twitter updates, pics and videos to see how things are going.
