UPDATE: after week 1 over 45 students prayed to receive Jesus as savior and over 50 attended small groups! Keep it up! Baptism is in 4 weeks.
Alive is doing two different series in February. Middle Schoolers are doing a talk on Temptation called “How not to get caught” and the High Schoolers will be going through a series on love, lust and Sexuality called START TALKING. It will be one of the most creative, provocative series we have ever done…bring a friend.
If you have made a new years resolution to grow in your faith then we are rolling out a ton of opportunities to help you in 2010.
1st – Alive Youth Ministry – We are amping up the experience this year and have great message series slated for this year…some topics we are hitting this year are Families, Sex, Knowing Jesus, How to be a good friend, The Prophets of God, Dealing with Drama, How to pray, Living the life, FEAR IV and Spiritual Habits.
2nd – Triage Middle School Experience – Saturdays at 6:00…Triage is a new experience JUST for Middle Schoolers. It meets in the Skate area/Triage Center and is a multimedia driven group that allows students to dive deeper into the spiritual disciplines and discovering God’s word.
3rd – Pulse High School Study – Sundays at 6:30…Pulse is an opportunity to go deeper into God’s word and study some crucial spiritual disciplines.
4th – Leadership Lunch w/ Sean – Thursdays at 1:00 at St Johns Christian Academy…LL is a time to glean some leadership principles from the men and women of God.
So…participate in what Alive Youth Ministries has to offer so that you can grow closer to God in 2010.
Last night we mourned as a youth ministry family remembering Benjie Wilson who tragically took his life Sunday night. Below is the talk given to the students and a link to help those with the grieving process. We will never forget him. But today we choose to love, we choose to live because life is worth the fight.

Beginning in January, High Schoolers have a new way to encounter with God and his Word. Sundays at 6:00 PM. There will be teachings from Pastor Sean and followed up with Table Groups led by Table leaders. If you want more than just Alive…come to Pulse. BTW, DON’T WORRY…THIS DOES NOT REPLACE ALIVE!
